For better or worse, Mark, Brien, and I imposed ourselves upon Barcelona and Costa Brava for about 9 days in June 2004.

 

Allow me to introduce ourselves:

a bit tired, we found our first nights accommodations:

we weren't exactly smelling good, so after some serious thought:

we decided to forage through the dense jungle of Barcelona for somewhere to bathe, and we found this beautiful fountain:

but unfortunately:

'GOD WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN IF YOU SWIM HERE.' The sign read.

We decided we were too hungry to test the ultimate question, and went for food and drink.

and then to our second nights accomodation:

early the next morning,

we finally found what we were looking for:

a toilet.

 

some freedom,

more drinks,

 

and finally, a good nights sleep.
